Club Charities for 2024-5

Our club will be supporting the Scoo-B-Doo and Gloucester Feed The Hungry charities this year.

Scoo-B-Doo (charity # 286167) works alongside Gloucester Royal Special Care Baby Unit to buy the best and most advanced equipment available to help save babies in need of special care. Through fundraising efforts for equipment such as ventilators, incubators and monitors, Scoo-B-Doo helps to save babies who are struggling.

The charity is run entirely by a volunteer team of doctors, ward staff and members of the public. 100% of every donation goes towards supporting the ward, it’s tiny patients and their families.

It was established in 1983 by a small group of grateful parents, doctors and nurses to support the Neonatal Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Over 80% of the equipment used on the ward every day has been funded by Scoo-B-Doo.

Gloucester Feed The Hungry

Gloucester Feed the hungry (charity # 1112955) is a volunteer organisation to serve the homeless and vulnerable in our community, serving hot meals and providing a warm space for those in need. They also give out free haircuts, clothing and emergency food parcels.

They are open from 9am until 3pm, Tuesday through to Saturday as well as hosting an AGE UK Drop-In Centre from 1pm to 3pm every Monday and an evening Hot Food Programme from 6:15pm to 7pm Tuesday to Friday.

Every £1 donation feeds two homeless friends.

Putting smiles on the faces of people who need it most.
